Today the IV Congress on Arterial Hypertension began, which will take place until this Saturday at the Autonomous University of Chile. To start today's session, The results obtained from the last National Health Survey were presented, where it is shown that a 27,6% of the Chilean population suffers from this disease, along with the measures taken regarding this disease from the public and private sectors. This year's congress will address pediatric topics, epidemiology, diagnosis and treatment of hypertension. Besides, counts as a guest Dr.. Marcelo Orias, researcher at the Autonomous University of Córdova and internationally recognized for his continuous contribution in the field of hypertension.
